Looking for a Career in Cannabis?

The past few years have been huge for the cannabis industry in the United States. One of the central reasons for the huge boom in the marijuana industry is due to recent policy changes that have taken place. There are now about 39 states in the nation that have legalized medical marijuana, and about 20 more of those that have legalized cannabis usage for all adults over the age of 21. The government is slowly but surely becoming more accepting and even encouraging of marijuana usage, and this is allowing manufacturers, growers, and suppliers to make a lot of money in the cannabis industry. One of the other factors that have played into an increase in the marijuana industry is the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic had a lot of economic implications for the United States, and most of them were not very good. However, the pandemic did allow for a huge increase in the demand for marijuana all over the nation. 2020 yielded the highest grossing cannabis revenue in United States history, and the year 2021 even beat those numbers altogether.

I can only imagine that 2022 is going to see an even greater increase in the number of people buying and using cannabis in the United States. If you are looking for a good career to get involved in right now, cannabis may be a good one for you.If you live in a state that has legalized either medical cannabis for recreational cannabis, you should definitely consider looking for a career in this industry. I mean, just look at somebody like me. Do you think that I write these articles about marijuana all day simply because it’s fun? Of course not - but it pays the bills. Anyways, today we are going to be talking about getting a career in the cannabis industry and the opportunities that are available in that field.

When you think of working in cannabis, the first thing that may come to your mind is working at a dispensary. If you are looking for a place to get started in the cannabis industry and find a good launching point to a more established career, working as a budtender is a great place to start. Working as a budtender allows you to get some great hands-on experience and knowledge on the industry, cannabis strains, products, equipment, and much more. It is important to keep in mind, however, that this industry is pretty competitive.

There are certain things you will have to be able to do as a budtender. While you are not a doctor, you should still have a decent amount of knowledge about various health conditions and the type of cannabis strains that would be an option for treatment. Other tasks that you may need to do include stocking shelves, taking care of products and showing patients how to use cannabis equipment, weighing out weed, filling out orders, operating machinery, and much more! You can at least be sure that your job is not going to go away anytime soon if you are a budtender. We have seen from experience that the cannabis industry is pretty resilient to recessions and even pandemics!

Another job that is out there for working in the cannabis industry is through cultivation and growing. The more that demand increases for weed in the United States, the more that we are going to need people to actually cultivate and grow it. People who work in this field really need to enjoy working in greenhouses and have backgrounds in agriculture and farming. It is important in developing and growing different types of strains and all of that stuff.

How to Choose the Right CBD For You

Many clinical studies have been done that show the effectiveness of CBD as a health supplement and a natural alternative medicine. Many people use CBD to reduce inflammation, swelling, and help them to relax. But did you know that CBD can be used in a lot of other ways? Most people who are familiar with cannabis know a thing or two about CBD. However, if you are just getting involved in the world of marijuana, you may be a bit confused and overwhelmed about the options available to you. Cannabidiol (CBD) can be a great treatment for people suffering chronic pain conditions, diseases, and mental health issues. Do not feel like you have to pick one avenue of CBD and stick with it. There are all sorts of products that are available to you as a consumer.

Some states are quite restrictive about medical marijuana and the types of products that can be legally distributed and sold, but the good thing about using CBD is that it is pretty much legal everywhere. This is because most CBD products do not contain any THC, which is the component of cannabis that actually gets somebody high. This is also sper attractive to people who want to try using CBD as a medication and health benefit but don’t necessarily want to be associated with smoking weed or something like that. So if you are a beginner to all of this and are wanting to know more about CBD, then you have come to the right place. I write articles about medical marijuana and everything cannabis-related, and today I am going to be writing this beginner’s guide to choosing the right CBD products for you.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that by using CBD you are not going to get high. If you are wanting to use a cannabis product that gets you high, you will need to find something with THC in it (which is not legal in every state in the country right now). Using CBD by itself may help you to feel less pain and feel more relaxed, but you will not be intoxicated or anything like that and will be able to drive. You also do not have to worry about using CBD in conjunction with THC in order to gain its benefits. You can use CBC completely on its own! Another thing to keep in mind is that there are so many different ways to use and consume CBD. While smoking marijuana is one of the most stereotypical ways to use it, you most certainly do not have to. In fact, many people with health conditions that involve cardiovascular problems are recommended not to smoke marijuana or use any method of inhalation. CBD can come in many forms.

There are products for pretty much everybody out there. There are CBD products like edibles, tinctures, oils, topicals, and many more. Oral methods of using cannabidiol are probably the most common among CBD users. This involves ingesting either a capsule, edible, tincture, or other product in order to get the CBD into your bloodstream. Tinctures are very popular because they are odorless, portable, and easy to administer. People like to use this to give themselves a CBD dose while on the go and not draw a lot of attention. You place the CBD drops under your tongue where they soak into the blood vessel there. Tinctures are also great because the effects of the CBD set in very quickly. You can also find a huge array of CBD edibles like gummies, candies, and other delicious snacks.

How CBD Can Help Your Aching Joints

As humans, our bodies naturally stop working as effectively when we get older. In fact, there is a reason that people get so secretive and insecure about their age - it’s because we are inherently less effective than we were years ago. One of the many shocking truths about the medical marijuana industry is that there are a lot of patients over the age of 65 who are regularly using cannabis to treat a variety of health conditions. Like I said before, we are plenty in need of help as a species when it comes to our older age. Things just stop working as well and we begin to experience pain and issues in every single part of our body.

The great news is that many senior citizens in the United States are taking advantage of their state's medical marijuana program to make sure that they are taken care of when it comes to chronic pain, diseases, and other health conditions. In fact, studies and surveys suggest that people over the age of 65 have the most to gain from using medical marijuana, as much of the negative research and problems associated with smoking marijuana no longer applies to old people. Now, does this mean that old Margaret down the street needs to start smoking a joint every couple of hours to make the aches in her knees stop? No! In fact, there are plenty of ways to use marijuana that do not involve smoking it.

Plus, many old people prefer not to get high due to the stigma they are used to when it comes to cannabis. They would rather use marijuana discreetly but still have the medical benefits from it, and I see no problem with that! The great news about this is that CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is one of the most holistic healing compounds known to man, and it is a very prominent part of the cannabis plant. So in today’s article, we are going to be talking about CBD and how it relates to your aching joints and other old people's problems.

Did you know that the most common type of chronic pain is musculoskeletal, specifically in the joints and back? Furthermore, the most common cause of this type of pain is from arthritis, which is especially common in older folk. In fact, there are more than 50 million adults in the United States alone that are affected by joint pain caused by arthritis.

For many, this pain can be debilitating and keep them from doing the things that they love and enjoy. It can also make it hard to maintain a lower weight and stay healthy, as a lot of times it can be painful to exercise and move around. For many of these patients, their only hope lies in some sort of medication that can manage and relieve their pain. However, like most other cases of pain in our nation today, they are often prescribed opioids or strong narcotics to ease their pain.

These types of medications can cause some bad side effects and even create dependencies and addictions that can lead to overdose. Overall, there needs to be a better alternative in place for these people. And thankfully, that is where medical marijuana comes in. More and more research is being done that points to the use of medical marijuana, specifically CBD, as a treatment option for these patients. Like I talked about earlier, CBD does not produce a high like THC does. Instead, CBD is great at reducing inflammation and swollen areas in the body, including joints and muscles that may be causing a lot of pain.

How to Battle the Munchies

One of the things that not enough people talk about when it comes to smoking weed is the munchies. Well, let me rephrase that a little. People will tell you about the munchies, but no one tells you just how serious it can be. When you’ve just finished smoking your second joint, laying on the couch, and trying to remember what planet you’re on, there is only one thing that comes to your mind - snacks. Seriously, unless you have experienced the munchies yourself, there is no way to describe what it is like to eat food while smoking weed. Pretty much anything that would normally taste good while you’re sober is going to taste incredible while you’re high.

Before I have a smoke session with my friends at our place, we always head to the grocery store beforehand to pick out some snacks. I tend to get something salty and something sweet. I limit myself to just one item from each category, because I know I do not need to eat more than that but definitely will if I have the snacks on hand. After you’ve smoked enough weed and you are nice and high, there is truly nothing better than kicking back on the couch and eating all of the snacks you have at hand. Eating is different when you are high.

You know when you first open a chip bag and eat one or two? Those are always the best tasting ones right? And the more you eat, the less tasty until you finally are done eating them. Well, think of the munchies like everything you eat tastes exactly like the first time you ate it. The flavors are always an explosion in your mouth, and you just can’t wait for the next bite. This is how one ends up going through an entire family size bag of doritos in the matter of hours. So, there's no doubt that the munchies are a real and serious problem. For people who are on a strict diet but need to use medical marijuana for their chronic health conditions, the munchies are a real barrier for them while they try to lose weight.

So what are some of the ways to battle the munchies after you have smoked a decent amount of weed? Well the first step is to be careful about which cannabis strain you decide to use. There are over 700 strains available in the United States marijuana industry, and each one is unique in its own way. Some strains are more likely to cause the munchies, while others may even be able to soothe your appetite after smoking it.

Either way, it is important to stay away from those heavily munchie inducing strains if at all possible. Another tip that I can give when it comes to battling the munchies is to not junk food on hand when you start smoking weed. If there are doritos in the pantry and I am high, I will eat them. That is basically Newton’s fourth law as far as I’m concerned.

Having healthier snacks on hand that are already made up and ready to go may be a great way to still enjoy eating after your smoke session, but you at least won’t be eating 900 calories worth of salt and fat like me. Plus, while most people who use cannabis never report having a hangover the next day, eating your bodyweight in gummy worms the day before is still going to leave you feeling pretty low when you wake up in the morning. So keep that in mind the next time you are battling the munchies!
