The past few years have been huge for the cannabis industry in the United States. One of the central reasons for the huge boom in the marijuana industry is due to recent policy changes that have taken place. There are now about 39 states in the nation that have legalized medical marijuana, and about 20 more of those that have legalized cannabis usage for all adults over the age of 21. The government is slowly but surely becoming more accepting and even encouraging of marijuana usage, and this is allowing manufacturers, growers, and suppliers to make a lot of money in the cannabis industry. One of the other factors that have played into an increase in the marijuana industry is the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic had a lot of economic implications for the United States, and most of them were not very good. However, the pandemic did allow for a huge increase in the demand for marijuana all over the nation. 2020 yielded the highest grossing cannabis revenue in United States history, and the year 2021 even beat those numbers altogether. 

I can only imagine that 2022 is going to see an even greater increase in the number of people buying and using cannabis in the United States. Working as a budtender allows you to get some great hands-on experience and knowledge on the industry, cannabis strains, products, equipment, and much more. It is important to keep in mind, however, that this industry is pretty competitive. 

There are certain things you will have to be able to do as a budtender. While you are not a doctor, you should still have a decent amount of knowledge about various health conditions and the type of cannabis strains that would be an option for treatment. Other tasks that you may need to do include stocking shelves, taking care of products and showing patients how to use cannabis equipment, weighing out weed, filling out orders, operating machinery, and much more! You can at least be sure that your job is not going to go away anytime soon if you are a budtender. Another job that is out there for working in the cannabis industry is through cultivation and growing. The more that demand increases for weed in the United States, the more that we are going to need people to actually cultivate and grow it. People who work in this field really need to enjoy working in greenhouses and have backgrounds in agriculture and farming. It is important in developing and growing different types of strains and all of that stuff.
